Initiatives BAK

The Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment supports various initiatives happening in the City of Atlanta. In our commitment to engaging Atlantans in the city’s booming entertainment industry, the office curates our own programming aimed at educating and immersing citizens into Atlanta’s film, music, sports, fashion, media, gaming, and tech industries. This page is dedicated to bringing awareness to local events & programs available to residents and visitors of the city.

Inspiring Creatives Through Financing

The new Creative Industries Loan Fund, a joint project between the Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment and Invest Atlanta was launched to assist our city’s independent content creators and creative entrepreneurs. The program offers loans with low interest rates and flexible repayment terms for local creative entrepreneurs to use for production, post-production, distribution, marketing outreach, touring, prototype development, product development and sales and attraction for their creative projects.

Town Hall Meetings

The Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment has identified a need for education resources among our community, specifically those impacted by filming in the City of Atlanta. As a proactive attempt to address this need, we have created a recurring Town Hall.

A 45-minute informational session followed by a short Q&A which provides concerned and impacted citizens of Atlanta with a touch point and a forum to pose any questions related to filming in their neighborhood.
