The Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment supports various initiatives happening in the City of Atlanta. In our commitment to engaging Atlantans in the city’s booming entertainment industry, the office curates our own programming aimed at educating and immersing citizens into Atlanta’s film, music, sports, fashion, media, gaming, and tech industries. This page is dedicated to bringing awareness to local events & programs available to residents and visitors of the city.
We love to see our film community flourishing! On February 22, our office hosted our initial “Filming in the City” community engagement event in partnership with the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI).
This platform brought together City of Atlanta stakeholders, Marta, GDOT, film location managers and productions to discuss best practices for filming in the city.

The Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment has identified a need for education resources among our community, specifically those impacted by filming in the City of Atlanta. As a proactive attempt to address this need, we have created a recurring Town Hall.
A 45-minute informational session followed by a short Q&A which provides concerned and impacted citizens of Atlanta with a touch point and a forum to pose any questions related to filming in their neighborhood.
